For all of us here in the United States Labor Day traditionally marks the end of summer, but Labor day is a federal Holiday celebrated by all 50 states. It was adopted in 1894 to celebrate workers. In the earlier years of the holiday street parades were held followed by a festivals for the workers and their families. Today the holiday is often regarded as a day of rest and parties.
